Art discovery: National Museum of Women in the Arts

While I was researching Sofonisba Anguissola, I came across the National Museum of Women in the Arts. The only museum specifically dedicated to women artists, it’s located in Washington D.C. in a crazy awesome building.

I will definitely visit… if I ever go to Washington D.C.

The Museum also runs the Clara Women Artists Database, which is awesome. It even has Sofonisba Anguissola’s sister, Lucia, in it – and not just “Lucia was pretty cool”, but an analysis of her style and comparison to Sofonisba’s talents.

So head on over – do it!
